Waste Material to Commercial Output
On a large number of crushing operations a crusher dust is often left over as a by-product of the crushing process. While some operators are able to find a low value market for this crusher dust, as road fill for example, the dust product often collects in ever growing stockpiles on site as a waste product.
There is potential for this crusher dust to be processed and a sand product recovered which can be used in concrete manufacture. This is particularly useful where no ready supply of natural sand is available for ready mixed concrete batching. By using the crusher dust as a concrete sand substitute an operator can greatly reduce the cost of buying in natural sand.
CDE systems for the washing of this crusher dust have been proven throughout the world to enable the production of a commercial grade sand product from what has up until now been considered a waste product.
