CDE OreMax has been an ‘ ORE’ ING SUCCESS!

 CDE are global leaders in the design and manufacture of customised equipment for the quarrying, recycling and waste management industries, with unrivalled experience in the construction sector. Addressing a broad range of aggregate and sand projects, CDE’s experience across the globe includes the world’s largest sand washing plant in the Middle East.
CDE Asia is now well established with an office and production facility in Kolkata being able to provide a full local service and spares back up, and is quickly becoming the first choice for washing and upgradation systems for Iron Ore in India.
In 2006 CDE started to investigate the Indian market and quickly received numerous requests from iron ore producers and steel companies to develop systems for washing low grade ores, particularly fines. Since then CDE has undertaken considerable research and development in this field analysing materials from across Eastern and Southern India as well as Goa. This research work has been substantiated with multiple installations in Goa, Hospet and Rourkela, which are prove of CDE’s ability to produce well specified washing systems to impart considerable benefit to iron production. Even with average quality ore reserves, the technology generates final ore product with maximum Fe value and substantially reduced silica, clay and alumina content. This gives much greater downstream efficiency within steel manufacture and increases the commercial value of the material significantly.
 Managing Director of CDE Asia, Manish Bhartia notes “Many customers now see washing ore as an essential part of their overall process”. Washing reduces costs and improves productivity of Blast Furnace, DRI, Sinter, and Pelletization plants by improving the quality of feed material. Pellet making technology has also brought operators into talks with CDE as in many cases CDE systems present a viable upstream process for reduction in material processed by grinding circuits during beneficiation. “Our flagship product OreMax offers a good value addition at a fraction of the cost and project lead time of a ‘beneficiation’ circuit” explains Manish.
OreMax is CDE’s highly evolved washing station for washing and upgrading various mineral ores, particularly iron ore including lumps, fines, mines overburden, or stockpiled iron ore reserves and as CDE Asia’s Vice President (Business Development & Technology) Dr. A Bandyopadhyay points out CDE systems are not limited to washing alone. “There is ongoing research and development within our Indian Company. We are working closely with some leading customers to further develop circuits which will include additional liberation and higher percentage of recovery from different low grade ores. We have already seen positive progress in upgrading Manganese ore”.
