AquaEnviro - Recovering Value from Wastewater

DMax grit classification mobileLocation: The Studio, Manchester
Country: England
When: Thursday 7th April 2011

Details:
How modular grit classification systems can ensure the recovery of materials for re-use which reduces both the volume of waste going to landfill and reliance on virgin materials

We will be presenting details of how our modular grit classification systems have been applied in the waste water treatment sector thoughout the UK to process a wide variety of waste streams including digester and wet well waste, reed bed recycling and waste from drain cleaning, lagoon and pond emptying services. Our modular D:Max grit classification system allows for the recovery of a large volume of materials from this waste which can subsequently be used in the C&D recycling sector or on civils projects taking place within the major water utility companies. The final products from the D:Max have been classified as a 'low risk waste' by The Environment Agency and the effect of their production is to:

1. Significantly reduce the volumes of waste going to landfill
2. Increase material recovery and recycling rates within the WWT sector
3. Reduce pressure on natural reserves of sand and gravel

Further details on the full conference program and how to register to attend can be found on the Aqua Enviro event web site.
