Tony Convery is Chairman of CDE. A Chartered Mechanical Engineer and founder of the business, Tony formed CDE Ireland Limited with his wife in 1992.

Tony had worked previously in the design and development of equipment for the sand and aggregates industry specialising in production of high specification aggregates. His work took him throughout Europe and America where he worked on major materials handling and water treatment projects.

Well renowned for his innovative engineering designs, Tony was presented with the Engineering Council Environment Award for his design of a concrete reclamation unit in 1993. The design was featured on the British television programme 'Tomorrow’s World' and continues to be a commercial success.

Having now established a considerable Research & Development department within CDE, Tony still continues to be a lead contributor in all new product developments. In addition, Tony’s drive to expand the company’s export market has seen the company install new products right across the world. He is a senior figure within the aggregate processing industry and well respected for his world class designs and solutions. Tony, together with the CDE Design Team recently designed the world’s largest sand washing system which was commissioned in 2008.

Managing Director: Brendan McGurgan

Brendan was appointed Managing Director of the company in May 2007 and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He joined CDE in October 2003 as Financial Controller and was appointed to the Board of Directors in March 2004. Brendan holds a First Class Honours degree in Accounting from University of Ulster and completed his Final Admitting Exams in 1998 whilst training with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC). He was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in March 2000.

Prior to joining CDE Ireland Limited Brendan was Group Financial Controller of Amacis Limited (now part of Primus Inc.) a software startup company, in 2000.

Within Amacis Brendan gained considerable exposure to the commercial workings of a successful company right from startup. This included raising finance through Venture Capitalists to the mechanics of setting up and conducting business in America and Asia Pacific. During his time there Brendan was responsible for setting up all of the financial systems, including policies and procedures, throughout the group including those in the USA. The group accounting and central administrative functions for which he was responsible for, was held in Belfast with reporting responsibility for an American subsidiary (Amacis Inc.) and a branch office in Hong Kong.

Within CDE Ireland Limited Brendan is responsible for overseeing the management and strategic direction of the whole company including finance, HR and IT functions with key responsibilities for all major commercial transactions including preparation and review of all legal and financial documentation. In addition he held responsibility for managing the key operations of the business prior to the arrival of the Operations Manager in 2006.

Sales and Marketing is the overall responsibility of CDE Sales Director Enda Ivanoff. Enda holds an Honours degree in Civil Engineering and is a past winner of the Junior Engineer of Ireland Award. Enda joined CDE in 1997 and has been instrumental in developing the business and establishing the initial markets in Ireland and UK. Enda has built an excellent reputation in the industry and has developed enviable knowledge and contacts in the sand and quarrying industries.

Initially working on new designs and projects under the stewardship of Tony Convery, Enda has grown with the Company to develop a sales team that will provide sustainable growth for CDE to provide industry leading solutions.

As well as leading the sales effort, Enda continues to be passionately involved in the Company’s Product Development and is well recognised as a specialist in the field of sand washing and recycling systems.

Appointed to the Board of Directors in December 2010, Terry has over 30 years experience in the quarrying, construction materials sector both in the UK and Ireland and in many global markets including North America and the Middle East. Terry has been a member of the CDE Global team since the late 1990's and has been instrumental in the development of business in the GB market in particular. Terry's contribution to the development of major strategic export markets has been considerable during this time as CDE Global have built a worldwide network of dealer managers and distributors for our range of washing equipment for quarrying, mining, recycling and ore processing applications.
