Tony Convery - Group Managing Director & Founder

Tony Convery - Founder CDE

Tony is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. He founded CDE along with his wife in 1992 having previously worked in the materials processing sector for a number of years. His work took him across Europe and America where he worked on major sand & aggregates and water treatment projects.

Tony's innovative engineering designs were already recognised by the industry and in 1993 he was presented with the Environment Award from the Engineering Council in the UK for a concrete reclamation system. The design was featured on the British television programme, Tomorrow's World.

Having now established a considerable Research & Development department within CDE, Tony continues to be a lead contributor in all new product developments. As the company continues to grow, Tony travels extensively identifying new opportunities for CDE and plays an integral role in the development of the business across its 5 sectors on a global basis. 

He is a senior figure within the aggregate processing industry and well respected for his world-class designs and solutions. Tony, together with the CDE Design Team designed the world’s largest sand washing system which was commissioned in 2008. 

Enda Ivanoff - Group Business Development Director

Enda Ivanoff - Group Business Development Director CDE

Enda was the first graduate recruited by Tony into the business in 1997 with an Honours degree in Civil Engineering, he has since qualified as a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and been honoured as a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.

The business at that time was focussed on small tailor-made projects spanning several sectors including water utilities, materials handling, industrial and construction.

Initially working on new designs and project management, he designed and commissioned the very first CDE fine sand recovery system to be used in the aggregates industry. 

In 2000, the business decided to focus exclusively on the development of its sand washing and water treatment technologies, CDE Ireland Ltd was formed with Enda joining Tony and his wife Rosemary as a Director and shareholder in the business.

Enda continues to lead the business development and has been one of the main architects of its global infrastructure as it develops across the eight strategic market regions and five business sectors. He champions the development of each regional business to enable each region to enjoy local support and expertise whilst enjoying the benefit of global knowledge.

An engineer at heart, Enda has lead and been involved in most of the major product developments throughout the years; the M2500, the AggMax, the Combo, and is credited with several patents. He has pioneered many of the early applications, specifically the very first complete CDE construction and demolition waste recycling system installed in 2005.

He continues to be passionately involved in creating practical innovative equipment and sustainable solutions for the industry. Today, the above products and applications have a strong and specific sectoral focus in the eight strategic regions.

Enda has built an excellent reputation in the industry and has developed enviable knowledge and contacts across the world.

Terry Ashby - Regional Director

Terry Ashby - Regional Sales Director CDE

Appointed to the Board of Directors in December 2010, Terry has over 30 years experience in the quarrying and construction materials sector both in the UK and Ireland and in many global markets including North America, Australia, and the Middle East. Terry has been a member of the CDE team since the late 1990's and has been instrumental in the development of business in the GB market in particular. Terry's contribution to the development of major strategic export markets has been considerable during this time as CDE Global has built a worldwide network (of Regional and Sectorial managers) for our range of washing equipment for quarrying, mining, recycling, and ore processing applications.

Colin Trainor - Finance Director

Colin Trainor - Finance Director CDE

Colin is a Chartered Accountant who qualified with Ernst & Young in 2002. He joined CDE Global in 2008 following several senior finance positions in the manufacturing and distribution sectors. Colin has responsibility for the financial and administrative functions within CDE, as well as looking after the commercial aspects of the company’s dealings with both customers and suppliers. With his contacts within, and knowledge of the banking and finance industries, Colin is instrumental in assisting customers to raise finance to enable them to take ownership of CDE equipment in the most efficient way possible. 

Appointed Group Finance Director in 2011, Colin has extensive experience in all aspects of financial, treasury and commercial management. Integral in the navigation of new business markets, including facilitating the company’s desire to be “local” across each of its strategic regions, Colin specialises in export and international trade requirements. 

Marc Jennings - Chief Operating Officer

Marc Jennings - CDE

Marc joined CDE a Graduate Technical Engineer at the age of 22 in 2008, while completing a Master’s in Engineering Management at the same time. Marc was quickly promoted to Technical Design Engineer and then again to Environmental Manager one year later, specialising in environmental projects. From here Marc progressed to the role of Projects Manager in which Marc was responsible for managing a team.

In 2011, one of CDE’s divisions, CDEnviro, became a Limited Company and Marc had become a clear driving force in the success of the company. As Projects Manager for CDEnviro, Marc led all operational initiatives including product development, pre-sales, project delivery and aftersales.

In early 2016, just 8 years after starting with the company, Marc Jennings became General Manager of CDEnviro. As the company experienced rapid growth, it was clear that a Chief Operating Officer (COO) was needed to steer CDEnviro and continue this momentum. Marc led the CDEnviro team as COO to turn today’s waste into tomorrow’s resources. His drive to achieve success for the whole team and for CDE customers was clear, and in 2019 Marc was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of CDE Group. Marc has a boundless passion and continues to be instrumental in the strategic direction of CDE.
