In another landmark moment for CDE, 2019 saw the company move into a new purpose-built state-of-the-art global headquarters in Cookstown, Northern Ireland. This new global centre of excellence can accommodate over 400 people and is now home to the world’s largest engineering team dedicated to wet processing technologies. Read more here.
April 2019 saw the global launch of the CDE Combo™, the world's first all-in-one wet processing, and water treatment system. This revolutionary equipment was launched to the world at bauma 2019 in Munich, Germany, the world's largest trade show. Read more here.
May 2019 saw yet another accolade for CDE as the company was presented with a Board of Trade Award (BOFTA) by International Trade Secretary Dr. Liam Fox MP in recognition of our exporting success. Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade, The Rt Hon Dr. Liam Fox MP, said: “I was delighted to present CDE with a BOFTA last week. The company is contributing to a stronger economy not just for Cookstown and Northern Ireland, but for the UK as a whole." Read more here.
In June 2019, CDE founder and chairman, Tony Convery, was awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to the Northern Ireland economy.
2019 saw continued growth for the company with the opening of our European Headquarters in Graz, Austria, while our operations in the Middle East and Gulf region was strengthened by the opening of our Dubai office.
Our innovative Combo™, the world’s first all-in-one wet processing plant, which was unveiled in Europe at bauma in April 2019, was awarded Business Innovation of the Year at the 2019 MEED Awards, organised by the Middle East Economic Digest. Learn more.
We launched our new corporate branding, the new CDE marque has been designed to physically embody ‘A New World of Resource’.
We established five highly focused, sectoral teams: CDE Primo, CDE Reco, CDE Solv, CDE Meta, and CDEnviro.
- CDE Primo – Maximising sand & aggregate resources.
- CDE Reco - Creating valuable resources from construction & demolition waste.
- CDE Solv - Creating high value from industrial sand resources.
- CDE Meta - Transforming mining waste into value.
- CDEnviro - Recycling today’s waste into tomorrow’s resource.
2018 also saw us continue our global growth with the opening of our new North American Headquarters in Cleburne, Texas. This was quickly followed by the announcement that CDE had purchased a world-class manufacturing facility from Caterpillar NI in Monkstown, Northern Ireland. The plant extends to over one-third of a million square feet and is ideal for the fabrication of complex equipment, providing world-class fabrication and painting equipment required to build the components necessary for our worldwide sales operations.
In May 2018, CDE was recognised in the prestigious Made in Northern Ireland awards, picking up the coveted Manufacturer of the Year Award (£25m+). These awards recognise and reward manufacturing companies based in Northern Ireland that have demonstrated success in innovation, product development, and growth in either domestic or overseas markets.
In September 2018, CDE was a partner organisation for the inaugural Circular Driven Symposium event which took place in London. This event focused on the opportunities for re-using and recycling construction and demolition waste material, and the potential for companies in the construction sector to aim towards a circular economy.
This year represents 25 years since CDE was born and throughout that time we've built our business on helping our customers to get the most out of the material being processed.
In 2017, CDE’s team expanded rapidly – we grew by over 100 people.
CDE was named the Deloitte Best Managed company, for the 10th consecutive year!
In April 2017, work began on the construction of the new CDE headquarters in Northern Ireland.
In June, CDE was ranked as one of the UK's private companies with the fastest-growing international sales by The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 league table.
CDE was honoured to receive the award for the best engineering company in wet material processing equipment for the mining industry in Brazil! The awards ceremony, "Prêmio Top Engenharias", was organised by the association AEAEEUFMG and took place in September.
CDE received the Plant & Civil Engineer's award for Excellence in Customer Service as part of their Plant, Construction, and Quarry Awards in November 2017.
At the Impact Excellence Awards, CDE won for our project with Ulster University on the development of digital design technologies through a KTP project.
Our production and assembly facility in Northern Ireland is extended, resulting in a 32% increase in production capacity.
In May 2016 CDE wins 2 awards at the Irish News Workplace & Employment Awards - Innovative Company and the new Entrepreneurial Spirit Award. This represents the 4th year in a row that CDE has been recognised as these prestigious workplace awards, widely regarded as the most prestigious awards in this sector on the island of Ireland.
CDE picks up another Deloitte Best Managed Company award - the 8th year in a row that the company has been recognised by Deloitte as one of the leading companies in Ireland.
CDE wins the 'Managing Talent' award at the Irish News Workplace & Employment Awards for the third year in a row in recognition of our commitment to the ongoing personal and professional development of our people.
We also pick up the Platinum Award at the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards - the 7th year in a row that we have won this particular award.
In a busy year, we also complete the installation of the largest wet processing plant for the recycling of construction, demolition, and excavation waste in the world for Velde Pukk in Stavanger, Norway.
CDE Global Inc is incorporated in the US (Cary, North Carolina) as we seek to grow our presence in both the USA and Canada in the years ahead.
This year also marks our debut appearance at ConExpo / ConAgg in Las Vegas, Nevada where the M4500 modular wash plant is launched to the global market.
Minister for Enterprise, Trade, and Investment, Arlene Foster officially opens our new production and assembly facility in Cookstown, Northern Ireland.
In an award-filled year we represent the UK in the European Business Awards having been crowned national champions, pick up the 'Excellence in Private Business Award; from PwC and are also crowned All-Island Champions in the Ulster Bank Business Achievers Awards in Dublin.
Raymond Cooke and Colin Trainor are appointed to the CDE Global Ltd Board of Directors as Operations Director and Finance Director respectively.
Company name changes from CDE Ireland Ltd to CDE Global Ltd to reflect the increasingly global nature of our business.
Terry Ashby is appointed to the CDE Global Ltd Board of Directors as Regional Director (UK).
In the same year, we also make our debut appearance at the Bauma exhibition in Munich, Germany where the M2500 mobile washing plant is launched to the global market.
Work is completed on a new production, assembly, and quality control facility at global headquarters in Cookstown, Northern Ireland.
Restructuring of the CDE Global Ltd Board of Directors with Tony Convery moving to the position of Chairman and Brendan McGurgan moving from the role of Finance Director to Managing Director.
CDE is awarded a contract to supply the largest sand washing plant in the world to Qatar.
CDE Asia is established in Kolkata, India in a partnership between CDE Ireland Ltd and the Bhartia family.
Brendan McGurgan joins CDE as Finance Director.
CDE Ireland Ltd is established with Tony Convery, Rosemary Convery, and Enda Ivanoff as Directors.
Current Sales Director, Enda Ivanoff joins the company.
CDE is founded by current company Chairman, Tony Convery.
