CDE to showcase latest materials wet processing solutions at AGG1

Global leader in materials wet processing solutions CDE will showcase its most recent innovations at the 2018 AGG1 Academy & Expo in Houston, Texas from 6 to 8 March 2018. The CDE USA hub will also introduce its team, which will double in size in 2018 and is located across two offices to better serve the company’s growing North American market.

Key to the success of CDE in the region is the company’s focus on delivering innovative and high efficiency materials processing solutions specifically developed for the requirements of local operators. At Agg1 2018, the company will introduce its new Combo XL, designed for the production of manufactured sands, as well as its fines and ultra fines recovery systems.

The Combo XL features the association of CDE’s two staple modular treatment units, the EvoWash materials processing plant and the AquaCycle thickener. With a capacity of up to 250 tons per hour and up to 90% of process water recycled and immediately ready for re-use, the Combo XL ticks all the right boxes for North American operators looking for high volumes of high quality materials that are ready for market in record times. With the option to produce up to three materials of even consistency and in spec every time, the new CDE Combo solution presents significant added benefits compared to existing systems. In terms of the company’s fines and ultra fines recovery solutions, they are the product of years of innovations to bring the advantages of the most advanced cyclone technology to operators so that not one fraction of sand is ever lost to ponds again.

As for all CDE solutions, the Combo XL and fines and ultra fines recovery systems are offered as bespoke packages, co-created with each client and designed and built for their operations’ specific requirements, with an ongoing focus on efficiency and reducing environmental impact.

Darren Eastwood, CDE’s Business Development Director for North America, is looking forward to introducing the company’s solutions at the March event: “We have seen our footprint expand rapidly across North America, especially in the past four years, with landmark projects completed across the region. 2017 was a breakthrough year with the launch of our M5500 wet processing plant and our new FracLine Range to the US market, which was a resounding success.

“We are looking forward to launching our new Combo XL wet processing system at AGG1. A modular, high tech solution for manufactured sands designed with the needs of the North American market in mind, we foresee the marriage of a high efficiency cyclone-based processing plant and an unrivalled water management system to be extremely successful in the region. We will also present our latest fines and ultra fines recovery systems, designed to introduce significant efficiencies to new or existing operations.

“AGG1 is the ideal platform for CDE to showcase the wealth of knowledge, innovation and experience that has already helped over 1,000 operations to grow beyond our clients’ expectations over the past 25 years globally.”

With a team based in North Carolina and Texas, CDE has its headquarters in Northern Ireland and counts offices across the world. All regional teams are based in the countries they serve. Always a phone call or a visit away, the CDE USA team can provide timely advice and support throughout the design, set up and maintenance process of its clients’ operations.

Darren continues: “We started to focus our business in the USA following an initial investment in 2012, and following a number of projects, CDE established an office in Cary, North Carolina in 2014. 2018 marks another milestone year for CDE as our investment in North America marks the single biggest investment the group has made outside the United Kingdom and Ireland.

"We have recently expanded our footprint to include our Regional Centre of Excellence and new headquarters for North America based just outside Fort Worth, Texas. This is in addition to our current office and warehousing footprint in North Carolina. Our activity in Texas has been significant, furthermore given our continued expansion and it was important to establish a presence in our Central Region (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana).

“We are also continuing to invest in our people and plan to double the size of our regional team for North America in 2018. This investment includes regional engineering, project management, business development and service teams in order to provide our customers with a total care package for their investment from Technical Pre Sales through to after-sales CustomCare."
