Our chairman, Tony Convery, founded CDE with the plans for an award-winning cement crusher in 1992. We've continued to grow since then.

CDE is born.


Tony Convery grows team and focuses on business development.


CDE Ireland is established and goes from strength to strength.


CDE wins a contract to build the world’s largest sand washing plant in Qatar. CDE Asia is established in Kolkata, India.


CDE’s Board of Directors undergoes a restructuring. Tony Convery becomes the Chairman and asks the leadership team to take up the operational mantle.


Work finishes on a new production, assembly and quality control facility at CDE’s global headquarters in Cookstown, Northern Ireland.


CDE Ireland changes its name to CDE Global to reflect the increasingly international.


New appointments join CDE Global’s Board of Directors. CDEnviro is established as a Limited company.


Arlene Foster, Northern Ireland’s Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Investment, officially opens CDE’s new production and assembly facility in Cookstown. CDE represents the UK in the European Business Awards.


CDE wins the ‘Managing Talent’ award at the Irish News Workplace & Employment Awards for the third year in a row. This accolade recognises CDE’s commitment to supporting the personal and professional development of its people.


CDE extends production and assembly facility in Northern Ireland, providing a 32% increase in production capacity.


CDE celebrates 25 years of helping customers get the most out of the material they process. The team grows by over 100 people and work begins on new headquarters in Cookstown, Ireland. CDE win a host of prestigious awards, including Deloitte's ‘Best Managed’ company for the 10th consecutive year.


CDE’s Global growth continues as the company opens new North American headquarters in Cleburne, Texas and acquire a world-class manufacturing facility from Caterpillar in Monkstown, Northern Ireland. The new plant stretches over 300,00 sq feet and is well-equipped to fabricate complex equipment. The Made in Northern Ireland Awards recognizes CDE as ‘Manufacturer of the Year’.


CDE takes up residence in the new, state-of-the-art headquarters in Cookstown. This new, global center of excellence can accommodate over 400 people, including the world’s largest engineering team dedicated to wet processing technologies. CDE also opens a new European headquarters in Graz, Austria, while operations in the Middle East are strengthened by a new regional office in Dubai.

CDE launch the CDE Combo™, the world’s first all-in-one wet processing and water treatment system, at Bauma in Munich, Germany, the world’s largest trade show. Later that year, the Combo™ would win ‘Business Innovation of the Year at the Middle East Economic Digest Awards. CDE receives a Board of Trade Award (BOFTA) by International Trade Secretary Dr Liam Fox MP in recognition of CDE’s exporting success.

CDE Founder and Chairman, Tony Convery, is awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honors list for his services to Northern Ireland’s economy.


The company restructures under parent company CDE Group Holdings.

New appointments are made to the Board of Directors and the next five-year strategic vision is defined for 2025.

CDE launches the Combo™ X900 – designed specifically for the Americas market – at ConExpo/ConAgg, Las Vegas, USA. This marks the third time CDE have exhibited at this prestigious event.
