Logwasher technology is employed when the excavated or dredged material at the first stage of the gold mining process contains clay contamination. The attrition provided by the Rotomax logwasher allows for this clay to be broken down and removed from the feed stream. This ensures that the screening processes which follow can operate efficiently as the fine material is liberated from the larger mineral fraction.
Screening technology is employed at various stages of the gold mining process to classify material.
Counter Flow classification Unit (CFCU)
Our CFCU is means of density separation that allows for the heavier gold particles to be removed from the lighter mineral fraction by means of a controlled upward flow of water.
The EvoWash incorporates hydrocyclone technology and can be employed on gold mining applications to remove the very fine -75 micron fraction from the feed stream and subsequently produce a 75 micron to 6mm dewatered product. This can be stockpiled using our stacking systems – this process can be employed on operations that use heap leaching as a means of gold recovery. The stacked ore is treated with a dilute cyanide solution which serves to dissolve the gold. The solution leaches through the stack before being recovered at the base and subjected to further treatment to allow for recovery of the gold.
The M2500 is a modular screening and classification plant with application in the processing of a wide range of mineral ores. The machine can be customized to the specific requirements of your gold mining project and will integrate either the EvoWash system or CFCU unit in partnership with the integrated feeding, screening and stacking systems.
